The five magi who tried to form the covenant of Mournemount were driven off Hibernia. They relocated to Loch Leglean, where they have founded a new covenant in time to keep that tribunal from being inquorate at the Grand Tribunal of 1228. In 1227, Alfeva visited them to purchase laboratory text for The Conjuration of Bread from Epicurus, and although relations were tense, she befriended Sabine.
Epicurus is from Provençal, and was initiated into the mysteries of the Order by a proud master who thought he was ready for an apprentice, but in fact was not. As a result, Epicurus wound up with three of his Arts crippled, including the Technique of Perdo. It took him years to figure out what happened, and he eventually sued for damages from his master, but in the meantime he developed an intense resentment which led him to find a new field of craftsmanship which could be wholly his own.
Decades later, Epicurus is the Order's acknowledged master of food magic (though in fact Rusticani of Ex Miscellanea can do his work much faster). This has earned him a favorable reputation among other magi, especially Houses Jerbiton and Flambeau, but his fellow Verditius think his pursuit a complete waste of time. Food doesn't last. No one is remembered for that great pie they baked. But Epicurus creates camaraderie and joy, bringing rivals together and creating evenings that last a lifetime. He is content, though he knows he will forever be looked down upon by his House.

Sabine filia Flavius ex MiscellaneaSabine was trained by the Princeps of Ungulus and is of the Lineage of Pralix. While she was raised to lead the rejuvenation of Ungulus, she feels her training is wasted there. Instead, she wants to see Connacht and meet Irish druids, whom she hopes to bring into the Order. If something happens to Epicurus, Sabine is a likely candidate to take over Mournemount, and she already handles many of the tasks Epicurus is too busy for. She spent two years laboring in Stonehenge to disengage from Flavius and make this move possible; along the way she had to make many promises to Ashenrise.

Esse filia Gerfallon of CriamonGerfallon's latest (and perhaps last) apprentice is a statuesque young woman of Nordic ancestry, originally named Octa. Initially a student of House Tremere at Blackthorne covenant, she suffered Warping which altered her mind. Now everything she says and writes comes out backwards; "Creo Ignem" becomes "Mengi Oerc!" Now she makes a special study of palindromes, because these are the few phrases that she can say and write which come out the same forwards as backwards, and thus can be clearly understood by others. She has renamed herself Esse ("I exist" in Latin, a palindrome) to suit her new nature. Esse's talents are in Corpus, and she intends to walk the Path of the Body. She is Mournemount's healer.
