History:

During the Gauntlet of 1218 at Terragon Vale, the Apprentices slew a dragon named Nemesis. The heart of Nemesis is the very Cor Draconis that the Covenant is founded upon.

In 1225, the magi of Cor Draconis were gifted with a mysterious egg by the covenant at Terragon Vale. Upon its discovery, two popular theories emerged - the egg was either the offspring of Nemesis himself, or an offspring of his mother (the dragon originally killed with Terragon Vale was founded).

It remained dormant until the magi returned to Cor Draconis. There, on the table used for council meetings, it hatched and the youngling on the inside flew out the closest open window. Though he did not make himself known again until the Isle of Man, it can be assumed that the creature remained close to the magi at all times. Begrudgingly so.

The dragon has become an official and permanent resident in Cor Draconis as of Autumn 1225 (read: he has allowed the citizens of Cor Draconis to continue their lives uninterrupted after his take-over) when the party returns from the Isle of Man. More of a curse than a name, “Zut” is what the dragon decided to call himself after hearing it called after him so many times.

Zut’s powers are similar to Nemesis, he has Magic Sensitivity and Second Sight (so he can see invisible things, vis, auras and regios.) He's immune to all fire. And the tiny dragon has been known to nap inside the skull of Nemesis located in Samson’s sanctum. Not much more is known about the tiny creature.

For now, it appears as if he is an ally to the covenant. A mischievous, thieving one, but relatively harmless ally nonetheless.

Just don’t tease him about his size. And whatever you do - “No touchy the shiny!”

Powers:

** Fiery Breath (Cost 0, Init +2, Penetration 10, Ignem): Zut can exhale a stream of flame up to five paces. He can target a single individual, inflicting +10 damage and potentially setting flammable objects on fire.

** Poisonous Blood (Constant Effect, Penetration 10, Aquam): The blood of Nemesis and his brood is a deadly poison. If anyone should inflict a wound on Zut and later in the battle roll a botch, a drop of blood has hit the unfortunate character's skin, and the character must succeed in a Stamina check of 12+ or die instantly.
