An optimum nutrition smoothie that helps with healing and easing digestion during times of surgery and or as needed.

Savory smoothies are basically
one cup cooked meat
one cup cooked vegetable
and one cup broth.
It can be whatever kind of meat, veggie, and broth you want to put together, along with whatever spices trip your trigger. One of my favorites (since peeled and steamed zucchini is one of my go-to veggies) is/was cooked ground beef, cooked zucchini, a small can of tomato juice, and blend. Then I can stir in Mexican spices and add a little yogurt and cheddar cheese, or Italian spices and go with a little provolone or Parmesan or Romano cheese, or I can have it by itself with just a little salt and pepper. I also HIGHLY recommend selenium, zinc, and Vitamin C as supplements for a few weeks before the surgery and for 4-6 weeks after -- they will improve your healing.
