Sweet Hot Wing BBQ Sauce

  • 2 cups of tomato juice (not from concentrate) simmered down and reduced so it is thicker. Usually 1/3-1/2 the original amount will work.

Then add the rest.

· ½ cup of honey

· ¼ cup of white vinegar

· 1 stick of no salt butter (if you have salted butter just reduce the amount of sea salt)

· 2 tsp of Sea Salt

· 2 tablespoons of Tabasco sauce (add more if you like it hotter). Cayenne pepper would work too.

Optional-

· 2 tsp smoked paprika (gives it a nice smoky flavor)

· 1-2 garlic cloves (if you want garlic flavor sauce)

Let is simmer for a while, taste test and make adjustments according to your preferences. Additional simmer time will thicken the sauce further.

It freezes well so make large batches. I usually make the batch size depending on the amount in the tomato juice container.

Have plenty of napkins available.
