Nothing gets some of the SCD Veterans more fired up than SCD Lifestyle.
When SCD Lifestyle launched they were trying to fill the gaps and continue to expand on SCD when SCD Book and SCD Website froze with the death of Elaine. While they started out just focusing on SCD they have branched out to include other diets to increase their audience population. Not all of their information is SCD legal. And they are making money from the SCD name without the authorization of Elaine's family. But when someone is dealing with a debilitating autoimmune disease they might not care about these things as long as they find relief.
Regardless of what side of this debate you take this site is "Everything SCD" so the SCD Lifestyle site is here with everyone else.
Below is a post from Matt (Elaine's Grandson), on July 29, 2013, regarding SCD Lifestyle:

The official word on SCD Lifestyle from Kirkton Press:
Many people have asked us if the SCD Lifestyle website and e-book are authorized or endorsed by the publishers of Breaking The Vicious Cycle. They are not. The Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), which is outlined in the book, Breaking the Vicious Cycle, reflects years of extensive research by scientist Elaine Gottschall who had no association with and did not approve advice offered through SCD Lifestyle. The only official website for the SCD is www.breakingthevicious.info.
Matt also gave this explanation in response to someone's question of "why?": Matt Herod wrote: SCD Lifestyle is an independent company that started to use the SCD name for their own ends and without permission. In the past they have given advice that is completely at odds with the principles espoused in the book and therefore, we do not endorse them or their products. They have no professional training in health or nutrition, whereas everything that Elaine put in the book was backed by years of research.
