Makes: 6 – ½ pint jars
NOTE: This makes a thick but tasty BBQ sauce, it can be thinned out with a bit of broth or water if necessary.
INGREDIENTS:
2 – 26 oz. containers Pomi brand strained tomatoes
¾ c. Bragg’s apple cider vinegar
1 Tbl. Garlic powder (SCD Legal)
2 Tbl. Onion powder (SCD legal)
2 Tbl. Sea salt
2 tsp. Aleppo pepper flakes
½ tsp. ground black pepper
1 c. Water
1 c. Honey
DIRECTIONS:
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
2. Simmer 30 minutes. Taste and adjust flavors as necessary.
3. Simmer another hour until thick and flavorful.
I ladle this into ½ pint jars, allow them to cool, then store them in the freezer until ready to use.
