Twice Dead

A down on their luck family is forced to move into the decrepit mansion that belonged to a demented relative who committed suicide decades earlier. The two teenage kids find themselves terrorized by a (pathetically '80s) gang who have a bit of an obsession with the house. I dunno how this one slipped through the cracks -- there's blood and gore, a car chase (with a Hearse), quirky moments, fun comedy, a good twist and a few genuinely creepy moments... plus Todd Bridges ("Diff'rent Strokes") in a small but pivotal role. Joe Bob Briggs declared it was "one of the best flicks of '88," and on a cheeseball '80s horror movie level, I wholeheartedly agree. On DVD.
