Dreamchild

Here's a wonderful curio featuring creature work by Jim Henson studios with Sir Ian Holm playing possible ephebophiliac Charles Dodgson (aka Lewis Carroll), the writer of "Alice in Wonderland." The film tells the story of the real-life 80 year-old Alice Liddell (Coral Browne), who travels back in her memory and tries to make sense of the relationship she had with Dodgson as an 11 year old. It's cool to see Henson's take on the characters from "Alice" (interestingly, this came the year before"Labyrinth" ) and the flashbacks are engaging, but the addition of a separate love story with Peter Gallagher and Nicola Cowper slightly blurs the focus of the film.
