“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Christianity is distinguishable from all other religions in that there are no demonic overtones: no forced conversion, no death to heretics, no death for apostates, and no host of eight-limbed monsters to welcome you into a pseudo paradise. There are plenty of those in the place you will be leaving behind after death though, a hell of a place that you really don´t want to be in. There is that peace from being separated from all of the above monsters that you can tell immediately, once you enter into a normal Christian church. That might not be true if you are inclined to venture into one of those churches that handle snakes, with most in the congregation hoping and praying that the snakes don´t get irritable and bite. It´s not that the ones who actually might handle the snakes are particularly blessed by God, since maybe they have already been bitten several times and are no longer affected so much due to the tolerance of the poison. Or the snakes might be similar to a Chihuahua, which bites anything unfamiliar. I have one and he is like a little monster with anyone but my immediate family. He´ll bite anything, whether it is blessed by God or not, no matter how big, especially strange gigantic dogs.
There is actually a peace that is characteristic of most Christian churches. Of course there could be the exception, but likely it is just a rare occurrence. Most Christian churches are very peaceful and profitable to the benefit of all souls, who enter in through the doors. I have been lucky enough to have visited very many different Christian denominations, and I have found in every single church a peace of the heart, mind, and the soul. Most people don´t realize it but just society in general has been formed by Christianity through the years. So, you may not realize it but a peaceful society is one, which has been founded on Christian principles. You are one of the benefactors of all the other ones going to church and changing their heart and mind from several generations back into one that is conformable to the very basic peaceful principles of Christianity, even though you may not be a converted Christian yet. The peace is all around you, and it has been there for years and years in the United States and all of North America, since the founding of America was organized and designed by good Christian men. There is no other place that a stranger to the United States could see and observe this more than in almost every Christian church.
The real sadness, which is beginning to be prevalent in the U.S. today, is that much of the violence has evolved through other influences outside the immediacy of the Christian church environment, taking precedence over the teaching that has been handed down through generations of families that created this great country. For untold years the church was a worship center, community center, entertainment center, and a place to meet others and become a peaceful part of society. Slowly but surely that peaceful society is being twisted by other influences; over the internet, movies, television, and also from the invasion of other religions that have predominantly violent roots and have demonic overtones. Violence also comes from the absence of God.
I´m praying today that many other Christians will take up their cross and witness to others. Even if you don´t know someone, use the internet, social media, or simply word of mouth to spread the peacefulness that passeth all understanding. Tell others about Jesus Christ and get the machine of peace grinding its wheels again and again. Repeat as often as necessary. You don´t have to be a preacher, minister, or church official to witness. It is a peaceful process that rewards everyone, all parts of society, especially your own community, and the entire nation. You, most of all, get to rest and sleep peacefully, knowing that you are a part of the whole family of God, Christians doing the good work and the will of God, spreading the words of Jesus Christ.
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
