There are so many movies out now about 'looking for the Holy Grail', the cup that Christ drank from at the Last Supper and which supposedly Joseph of Arimathea used to catch falling drops of blood from Jesus when he was on the cross.

The real truth about the Holy Grail is given by the words of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, when he says that all Christians will drink from the same cup that he drank from, and we will also be baptized with the same baptism that he was baptized with. We must take up the cross daily and walk in the path of Jesus Christ, knowing that we will be persecuted and reviled for our faith. But it is easy, for we also receive the peace of God which passes all understanding. We do not know the day or the hour that our calling might come. We do know that we will be targeted by the same hate that the world had for Jesus, because he said that we would. Christians are being persecuted now more than ever. We could die for our faith any day, but we are not to fear men but God, who can thrust both soul and body into hell. We do know that God loves us and is eternally with us, even into the valley of the shadow of death, taking away all fear and causing our cup to run over with his blessings.

The real Holy Grail is not a single item that Jesus drank from with magical powers, but his WORDS; they are the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant, that he gave to us for all eternity. When we read and keep his words, we are in the Holy of Holies, not separated from God. Jesus Christ is the Passover Lamb. His words are the memory that we keep alive of him through the Lord's Supper, when he said that his words are Spirit and they are Life. To keep his words in our hearts and minds and to believe is to eat of his flesh and to drink his blood, which is the Holy Covenant. In memory through his Holy Word, he remains alive within us, hour by hour, day by day, and through all eternity.
