Jesus changed the tradition of the Jews, that disallowed the lame and blind into the temple, choosing instead to let them in and healed them on the spot. So, we as Christians have an instant intermediary, an intercessor before God, with all our imperfections. He receives us and heals us, cleansing our soul and forgiving us of our sins. Jesus was a breaker of traditions that went directly against the law of the land. Jesus saw within the things that needed to be corrected and brought out straight forward to be perfected, the imperfect law that was misinterpreted from God. None of us are perfect before God, except He that is without sin, and that is Jesus. There is only one door, whereby we may enter into the Kingdom of God and that is through Jesus Christ. Anyone who comes up some other way is a thief and a robber. Jesus is the door, the good shepherd, who gives His life for the sheep. We know only His voice and will follow no other.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
