I'm glad you asked, as I was just thinking about the very same thing. Let's explore this great phenomenon together. Everyone would want to be able to heal, just like Jesus did in the New Testament, or I would say most people would want to be able to heal someone that might be sick, who is very close to them, a loved one recently fallen ill or, who maybe has been sick for years. That may seem like a difficult problem to tackle at first glance, but we will certainly need to resort to looking up how it happened in the New Testament. There are many instances in the Bible that relate stories of Jesus healing individual people, and even whole multitudes all at once. I don't know if this is categorized as necessary in every single instance, but I am assuming it was necessary in some of them. People gave up their sins willingly and Jesus healed them. I might imagine that in just about all of the cases that sin was one of, if not the most prominent, of debilitating factors in almost all of the cases of some infirmity. If the sick person got rid of or quit his sin, he immediately began to get better and was completely healed. That is maybe just my opinion and may not be the case in all of the healings, but I might think it would be a major factor in most cases that hinged on morality. People doing continuously the things that God hates will tend to eventually get sick. That's just the mathematics of the entire scenario, but not always.
Of course, there are cases in our present day, where factors involving the amount of radon gas in your home location, the pollution in the air, purity of the water, nearness to power lines, factories, and the amount of solar radiation you are exposed to directly affects your health. If you were living on Mars, Europa, or Enceladus, you might be exposed to radiation, which the earth's magnetic field gives us protection from, but not in all cases, especially during solar flares, when the sun's radiation is above normal. But if you don't get enough solar radiation, your body won't produce enough Vitamin D to prevent disease.
I like to think about the direct affect that morality plays in health. The actions of the fathers and mothers directly affects the health of their children, even unto several generations. It plainly says it in the Ten Commandments that God has given us to memorize and learn for all of our entire lives and to keep each of them for our better health, our children's health, and our eternal salvation.
9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

So, let us visit a few of the times when Jesus directly healed and how it took place. One of my very favorite times was when Jesus healed the Centurion's Servant. There was no physical touching or the laying on of hands. Jesus surlely made a connection with the sick servant all the same, and he was healed from a distance. It was as if there was a natural spiritual pathway that Jesus was very familiar with and went directly to the sick person, as if entangled particles can directly correspond with each other throughout the entire universe. So, the centurion made a request through an associate, that Jesus should not even come into his house, as he was not worthy, but just to speak the word and he had the faith that it would surely be done. It was a prayer, in effect, direct to God through Jesus Christ. That is almost the best example of a prayer request that I can remember being in the Bible. All of us or any of us can surely do this, if we have even the faith of a grain of a mustard seed. Pray for your family and friends, that Christ will heal them and give them an abundant life.
12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

As for healing great multitudes all at once, there was one thing that they all did, and that was to follow Him. They all had the faith to follow and they were all healed at once. If our entire nation would follow Jesus Christ, we could all be healed at once.
They wanted to put Jesus to death, just because of healing on the Sabbath Day, as their manmade laws, their interpretation, deemed it a sin, not God's laws. Jesus Christ was the best teacher of exactly what God wants us to do and how to repent of our sins and be healed.
There are all kinds of miraculous healings in the Bible, even ones that defy logic and explanation. Like the one in the book of Daniel, where his friends and companions, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, refused to worship King Nebuchadnezzar's golden statue and were thrown into the fiery furnace, where the fire didn't burn them. So, there are instances every single day, where miracles happen, but we don't even know about them, but they happen nevertheless. There are instances that don't happen like; the car that was supposed to crash into another car or run up on a sidewalk, but doesn't, or the asteroid that was supposed to hit earth, but doesn't, and the war that was supposed to happen, but doesn't. All kinds of miracles that defy logic, space, and time, occur to change the course of events, and those are miraculous healings also. There are all kinds of healing events that change the hearts of men and heal individuals, groups, and whole nations all at once.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
