So many times we think that what has happened, is happening, or will happen to us in the future is God taking vengeance and punishing us. Not so fast; no, yes, maybe, but not entirely by design. Isn't it true that we are to a certain extent the product of the world we make? If we fashion a work of art, a working tool, or even conceive of an idea, then we can claim our product as a personal achievement or maybe a mistake and do it over again until we assume that we might get it right. What we could possibly think of as a great achievement might be to God a very ugly rendition of what He had in mind, yet we are free to choose. God knows the heart of all men.
“And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?”

“For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.”

“If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?”

24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all [men],
25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Jesus knew what was in the heart of all men, that they were all sinful, no matter how many miracles that they witnessed, some would never repent and change their lives. God loves us above anything else, and cares for our lives and our welfare. He sent his only son that we might be redeemed and find peace, giving up our sins willingly. Some sins stick like glue and follow us around throughout our entire lives, even though we have believed and know the right path to follow, yet sin tempts us and remains a thorn in the flesh. Many people are outwardly very goodly people, attending worship services, love our families dearly and provide abundantly for those we love and care for. Charity is even a great cornerstone of some that do good works all their lives. Yet, many have sins of omission that cloud their judgment all through their young years and progress even into old age, following the very best of Christians like a ghost that seems darker than a shadow. Not one person on the Earth is sin free, and only God sees what is really in the heart of man, looking at his wasted years, his promise that could have been, his talents that were hidden from the world only in order to pursue some other fantasy that appeared to be more important than what God actually wanted for that person to achieve.
Our foibles and calamities are not God's fault, but mostly come from the choices we make in life. Is there good luck and bad luck? We take chances every day with the choices we make in life, but we still have to accept and hope that God will bring about something good even out of our mistakes, if we continue to trust in him. The only sin that is so evil it never goes away is if we curse God and blame him for all our inadequacies, our misadventures, our dishonesty, and our unwillingness to walk in the right pathway. God overlooks every sin and every shortcoming of man, except to blame him for our own mistakes, as if he does not love us and is not good but some evil entity. God knows what is in the heart of man, and it is mostly evil. Only by stepping out with abandon and trusting in God, fully believing and knowing that what he wants for us is better than what we want for ourselves do we appear close to being in his presence. Jesus is the only cure that puts man's heart and mind on a right compass bearing.

No matter what befalls us, or what happens to us on this Earth, it is not because God wishes us as Christians to fail. "God is good all the time. All the time God is good". I've heard that somewhere and know it is true. We don't know the mind of God and can't begin to comprehend all the movements of fate and the layers of reality and spiritual movements that determine what condition we will be in from day to day. We have a key that unlocks the only door that is available to us, whereby we might enter into a supernatural displacement of endless days and nights of perpetual sanctity. What is the only safe place, where there is no evil and no darkness? The words of Jesus Christ.
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

God is constantly working miracles in our lives, day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute.
We must all pray for one another, wish for healing and peace of mind, and always trust God that he means only good, regardless of what condition in life we find ourselves in.
