You can't tell me that to be a good Christian, you have to actually go to a physical mortar and concrete church building in person and sit in a pew to listen to the words of Jesus Christ being read to the congregation by a preacher and getting his divine interpretation, in order to comply with what is acceptable to God. Maybe because of this new deadly SARS COVID-19 virus, all of that will change dramatically and may never return. I hope to publicly be able to meet again and worship together in church. Although, there may be no more huge gatherings of people watching in person the NFL football games in gigantic stadiums, or following their favorite basketball teams to huge gymnasiums, or University classes that are held in large amphitheaters and classrooms with balconies. I don't even know whether or not today's pandemic virus is the result of some biological warfare that has been unleashed on the whole world. I do know that if the government tells me, due to an emergency declaration, I am not to meet in a church; I will gladly comply, in order to keep from spreading exponentially the virus to my fellow Christians and the rest of the innocent people around me, and to also prevent me from getting it myself and then spreading it further.
I just read where a church in Florida refused to obey the emergency declaration to not assemble publicly and met anyway with hundreds of them trying to maintain a distance of six feet apart, before thoroughly cleaning the sanctuary with disinfectant. Don't these uninformed Christians know that this deadly virus is airborne and first attacks primarily the lungs? All you have to do is breathe it in, and it is super microscopic, going directly to the lungs. It probably hangs in the air like some phantom menace, just waiting for some unlucky person to walk across the air that an infected person just breathed out. Get serious fellow Christians and wake up to the realization that God gave you a brain to be able to interpret the scriptures yourself. Firstly, because they're not that difficult. All you have to do is read the Bible. It means what it says it means, without taking words out of context, and there are many examples are what not to do. You can study and read the whole Bible in one year or a lot less. Someone with a four year degree from the New Orleans Theological Seminary, pounding on a podium for an hour or even three hours, as in the Florida incident, is not entirely necessary for you to get it. Some other person's interpretation and discernment is not going to be that different from possibly what the Holy Spirit will open up to your own understanding. Maybe those old days of having lovely meetings in person are quite over for a long time, as far as a widespread airborne virus is concerned. At least meeting publicly is not practical now, until humans have developed a resistance to the virus or have been given a vaccine to prevent its recurrence. I don't personally feel that the U.S. Government is trying to subtly take away your freedoms. It's just the opposite, they're trying to preserve your life for our future return to freedom as we used to know it. But it may never return to the degree it has been in the past. This is your present and possibly future world and God is still in it, nevertheless.
Jesus didn't have to touch any one person to heal them, and there are many instances in the New Testament where it is given as evidence. He was there in Spirit and not just a physical presence. So must you be also, in order to have Communion with God.
You have to be willing to accept that Christianity is a Spiritual religion and not a physical one, which by the way heals the physical body. You don't have to actually go and take a communion wafer to receive the words of Jesus Christ, his body and blood. It is a symbolic remembrance that what you are doing is of God and blessed of God. Read what it says in the New Testament just before Jesus told the people in John 6:63 that his words are Spirit and they are Life.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
62 [What] and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

So, maybe it was never meant to be for a Christian preacher to always gather all the local Christians into one huge building at one time. Maybe that was very good at one time, but in the present it is a very bad thing for the spread of Christianity, as it also might spread death to the whole congregation and the community as well. Who will witness to those who are unsaved, when the whole congregation is stretching the medical abilities of the local hospitals to cope already with possibly hundreds or thousands of sick patients already on ventilators, which probably will not happen readily for an immense amount of newly admitted patients, as there are not even enough go around? I actually believe that there are refrigerator trucks parked behind New York City hospitals to hold all the dead bodies, as reported on TV. I also actually believe that an emergency Hospital Ship called USNS Comfort is now parked in New York City harbor to help handle all the thousands of medical cases, because of the rapid spread of SARS COVID-19 virus. You should too, and obey your local, state, and federal law enforcement. This is not a world-wide hoax or exaggeration. If they tell you not to meet in your local church, take it as a sign that you will get closer to God in your own home, by becoming more comfortable and better able to understand the scriptures yourself, reading more intently and thoroughly, and possibly also save thousands of lives by not spreading this relentless virus around your own neighborhood.
May the blessings of heaven be with you. Peace and good health to all. Let's pray for one another, in the name of Jesus Christ.
