Dear Sir,

The above documents were sent to you on 12th September, 20….

From our experience we find that our clients normally release the documents within 7 days from the date of dispatch of documents.

As it is more than 2 months now and since we have not received any information form you, we presume that you have already sent us a bank draft but the same has been misplaced somewhere the transit.

May we, therefore request you to stop payment of the bank draft, if already issued one, in our favour and issue a duplicate/fresh bank draft?

Note: 1. the above letter may preferably be sent by registered post.

2. Where the bank draft is lost, the bank will normally send its own printed form (like affidavit/bond) and ask its clients to fill up the. Same and return. It is only after that, that a fresh bank draft will be issued.
