Graham Chex Mix Recipe

8 c. rice Chex

8 c. corn Chex

8 c. Golden Grahams

2 c. almonds, sliced or slivered

2 c. sugar

2 c. corn syrup

1 c. butter

1 t. vanilla extract

1 t. almond extract

Additional add-ins: shredded coconut, other types of nuts, M&M's

1 - Pour cereal, almonds and any additional mix-ins into two large mixing bowls, half in each bowl.

2 - In a large saucepan, melt butter, add sugar and corn syrup. Mix and boil for 2 minutes over medium high heat. Remove from heat and add vanilla and almond extract to syrup mixture.

3 - Pour half of this mixture into each bowl of cereal. Stir until all the cereal is coated.

4 - Pour onto parchment lined baking sheets to cool. This prevents over-stickiness and keeps it from sticking together in one large clump in the bowl.

Notes: To reduce costs, I use the generic brand cereals
