In 2006 the legend, Kobe Bryant, made history by scoring 81 points in a game against the Toronto Raptors. The overall score was 122-104. Kobe Bryant is the second person in history to almost make another 100 point game after Wilt Chamberlain.
MJ’S Flu Game in the 1997 finals
In 1997 Michael Jordan had caught the flu but he had a basketball game:
The Bulls vs the Utah Jazz. In that game alone - with the flu - he scored 38 points. In the first quarter he didn't score any points. Then, in the second quarter he scored 17 points. He was struggling in the third quarter and in the fourth quarter he scored 7 points in a 10-0 run and he made a 3 pointer in the final half minute which led the Bulls to win.
