You may be wondering what bad habits are, well they are any repeated behavior that results in a negative or unwanted outcome. Bad habits come with severity but some common bad habits are procrastination, nail biting, picking your nose, swearing, too much screen time, gossiping, not getting enough sleep, eating too much junk food, smoking, lying, pessimism, alcohol and sucking your thumb. Bad habits can get worse over time if you don’t try to treat them. Sometimes you can have bad habits that you don't notice. These bad habits can affect you or even others.
How do bad habits form? Well bad habits form when good or enjoyable events trigger in the brain's mesolimbic system. The mesolimbic system is a central nervous system circuit. Avoid tempting situations.
Try to replace unhealthy behaviors with healthy ones.
Prepare mentally.
Enlist support.
Reward yourself for small victories.
