On the evening of November 21st, our school cafeteria transformed into a culinary haven as students, families, and staff came together for a heartwarming Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. The event, a true testament to unity and gratitude, was made possible through the dedication of Ms. Mohamed, Ms. Elie, and generosity of MS890’s Parent Association.
From traditional Thanksgiving fare to international delights, the tables were filled with an array of dishes. Families contributed their favorite dishes offering a taste and creating a culinary journey. With Mediterranean, Asian, Caribbean, Italian and Hispanic Dishes to try from, the epicurious were in food heaven for a few hours.
As families gathered around the tables, there was a sense of unity and community that goes beyond cultural and linguistic differences. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, shared stories, and the clinking of utensils—a symphony of togetherness that reinforced the bonds that make our school community a truly special place.
