Tests are a massive part of students' grades and it can be scary When exams occur too frequently, they have the potential to negatively impact grades and diminish students' confidence, leading to feelings of low self-esteem. Tests are worth 50% of your grade which makes them even more scary. There are the pros and cons of tests.
Pros :
Tests can actually help improve your grades if you prepare well and do a great job on them. Getting a good grade on a test can boost your overall score, which is super cool because it can open up new opportunities for you. It could mean moving up to a higher class next year or even getting into that dream high school you've always wanted to attend. For instance, if your grade is currently at 70%, acing a test could raise it to at least 90% or even higher! So, tests can be like magical stepping stones to reach your academic goals.
Cons
If you don't do well on a test, it can be a big setback for your grade and how you feel about yourself. Your grade might drop a lot, like going from a 90% to a 70% or even lower. I know because I've been there. When you don't study, it feels like a big surprise and you start wishing you had studied. It's like saying, "Wait, the test is today? Can I go to the bathroom?" It makes you anxious and stressed because you worry about failing the test or quiz, especially if it's worth a big part of your grade. So, it's important to prepare and study to avoid those feelings of regret and stress.
In the end, this was an article of a different POV of how people feel about tests and the pros and cons of quizzes and other types of exams.
