2/14 Valentine’s Day, Candy Gram, and Dia la Corazones
Students purchased candy grams for their friends or teachers with options from one dollar to a hefty 15 bucks with options from flowers, chocolate, to candy and teddy bears. The day was packed with love, fun and games, as students celebrated Dia La Corazones in the school gym during the lunch period.
2/16-2/17 Winter Arts Showcase- Students performed and danced for the school community with numbers from Hamilton, Frozen, Dua Lipa, and more!
3/2 Academic Awards Ceremony The MS890 awards ceremony was a night to remember, as students gathered to celebrate their achievements and showcase their talents. The gymnatorium was packed with proud parents and excited students, as awards were presented for exemplary work, and high averages in different classes. The event was filled with excitement as students proudly showcased their work in various sparks and studios, such as robotics and Taste of the Cultures. It was a great opportunity for everyone to see the creativity and hard work of the students.
To keep everyone energized, there was an open buffet with sandwich and salad options. It was a great way for parents to mingle and socialize while enjoying some delicious food.
Overall, the night was a huge success, as students were recognized for their hard work, and parents were able to see the amazing things their children were accomplishing in school.
