In a spectacular display of creativity and skill, students from various performing arts classes came together for the Winter Arts Showcase held on December 14th and 15th. The event featured an array of performances that entertained the audience.
One of the highlights of the evening was the hilarious skit presented by Ms. Macrides’ Theater SPARK class, 8th graders, Christmairy, Rico, Jonathan, and Arianna were stuck on an elevator during a zombie apocalypse. The students showcased their acting prowess as they brought the suspenseful and comedic scenario to life.
The Dance Crew added a vibrant and energetic element to the showcase with their mesmerizing dance routines. Set to the beats of popular songs, Ms. Sas’s choreography was a perfect blend of contemporary moves and creative expression, showcasing the incredible talent within the Dance Crew.
Ms. Russo’s Choir, not to be outdone, took the stage with a powerful and harmonious performance. The ensemble presented a medley of songs from hit musicals like Hamilton and Frozen, as well as other crowd-pleasing tunes. The Winter Arts Showcase not only highlighted our students’ talents but also demonstrated the diverse range of skills nurtured within MS890’s performing arts programs. Kudos to all who performed both the evening and matinee for the school community.
