School drills make me feel prepared because they ensure that both the school and everyone in it are ready to handle emergencies. On the other hand, it also makes me feel scared because if we are practicing, did this happen in the past? Sometimes, when we're doing fire drills, it makes me wonder why we are doing this and why so often. Is it really that bad to the point where we do it almost every day? Well, not every day, but that’s how it feels.
Although we have school drills in general, it makes me think that the school is safe and that we have safety in our hands. But how school drills make me feel is aware because on any normal school day, whether I'm happy, sad, mad, or excited, it can happen at all costs. So, in my opinion, our school feels safe, but not all students might agree; they might feel different, like feeling stressed out or scared. Honestly, all the drills are for safety, and every single time a fire drill happens, it can make me feel happy, not worried because it’s a safe thing to do.
If no one knew what to do during a fire drill, that would be dangerous, and sometimes it can be annoying. But even if we don't like it, it can still protect us. For example, if you don't want to do your homework, there's a choice, but there is a chance to boost your grades, so there's no other choice if you want great results. If you don’t, then there will be consequences, just like it would be if there was a fire drill. If there was one, you would know what to do. If you don’t, then you won't know, so it would be better than what you know; then you won't get stranded in the school if there was a real fire!
School drills make me feel safe because they help you get prepared when there's an actual fire, and they help with self-control and what to do during a fire. They can also help with confidence if you are scared. For me, as a student, it really helps me not get scared because I've been doing fire drills since kindergarten. It really helps to know how many times I've exited the school, been trained, and prepared out of sight.
