The overview of personal hygiene to meet salon standards.
Bad Breath is something that must be prevented at all times when working in the salon. We work in close contact with our clients and bad breath is unpleasant and unacceptable. Now, some of the reasons for bad breath could be:
Ensure that your teeth are kept clean at all times. Use dental floss and brush your teeth regularly, especially after meals or smoking. If required, use a mouth wash as well.
It’s a great idea to carry with you dental floss, toothpaste and a tooth brush. This way you can clean your teeth if your breath becomes bad.
Working so close to clients in a salon means that we must be clean and free from body odour and smells. Not only is body odour offensive and unacceptable, but strong perfumes are too. Just because you like a perfume, doesn't mean your paying clients like it.
Here are some tips to reduce the chance of body odour:
Keep yourself clean and shower daily
Use soap or antibacterial soap
Apply a deodorant or anti perspirant
Keep your clothes clean. Don't wear the same shirt two days in a row
Watch what you eat. Certain foods can affect your body
