New Client Forms need to be cut in half down the line in the middle after printing
Salons collect client information for different purposes. These include:
Being able to contact clients about appointments
Keeping a history or the services performed
Keeping a history of products used
Marketing
General communication
Know how they found the salon (referral, google etc)
Some people are sensitive providing personal information. Be aware of this and ensure the client the information is purely for business use and will not be given or sold to a third party.
If client information is collected on paper, make sure the paper information is shredded upon completion of entering the details into the computer.
There are federal laws protecting people’s privacy. Clients giving us their information do so at their own free will. There is no obligation for them to give information to us, and their decision to do so must be respected. The information given to us must be handled with care and respect. The business becomes responsible for that information and can only use it for the sole purpose of giving our clients information in regards to our salon or promotions we might be running.
At no time can this information be given out to another party without permission. All information collected must be protected. CPC’s and client information cards once finished must not be left lying around.
STEPS:
Ask the client if they have been to our salon before
If they say no; hand them the New Client Form and ask them to fill it out.
If they ask why - assure them it is just for our own data base so that we have the correct contact information, can see how they found us and can mark down what products and services they recieved (for future visits)
