Introduction
Salon hive understands and respects the need for ongoing training and mentoring to achieve results not only for the salon, but for the growth of the employee too. This Policy provides information on the expectation and responsibility of employees and management and the procedures that need to be followed to ensure safe, effective and confidential one on one meetings (PDM’S). The goal of these meetings is to create an open forum of feedback and discussion to help employees grow and perform to the standards and expectations of the salon and job contracts.
POLICY
The policy sets our guidelines for employees and management to adhere to while conducting, preparing and reviewing PDM’s.
EMPLOYEES
PDM’S are confidential. Nothing discussed or documented at the meetings is to be shared with any other employee without the consent of management.
Employees are to have filled in a PDM form prior to the meeting
Actions created in the meeting are to be actioned. Any known reason for them not being followed through are to be discussed with management prior to the next PDM.
MANAGEMENT
Pdm’s are confidential. Nothing discussed or documented at the meetings is to be shared with any other employee without the consent of the related employee.
All reasonable effort has to be put in to ensure documented actions are followed through.
All PDM forms are to be recorded in a timely manner and distributed to the employee folders.
Staff are given a two-day encouragement reminder to fill the PDM form in prior to the meeting.

All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that each employee is given an opportunity to discuss any topic, offer ideas in a safe and secure environment.
