Tell clients what products will be used
Men 1 shampoo and conditioner
Women 2 shampoos and conditioner
Remove bulky jewellery and clothing
Remove hearing aids
Loosen ties and top buttons
Give the client the option for the massage and heating chair function
Watch the training video to ensure you follow the Salon Hive standard of shampooing hair
No talking at the basin with other staff unless it's important and work-related, and excuse yourself to do so

INFORMATION: Shampooing a client's hair is one of the most important jobs in the salon and one that should not be taken lightly.
Why is it so important? It is among the first experiences a client will have in the salon, and first impressions are often the way a client will judge the entire experience. So the shampoo experience has got to be incredible, relaxing and consistent for every client, every day, no matter when it is.
Shampooing and using the correct prescribed products will also create the perfect foundation for the services to follow.
Shampooing requires you to be alert and aligned to your client's needs. You will need to be ultra friendly, caring and respect the client's needs. If they don't want to talk, don't talk to them. If they do want to talk, be mindful of other clients at the basin. Most people want to relax at the basin, so never talk to other staff members. If it's urgent and appropriate for the client to hear the conversation, politely excuse yourself to have a quick and quiet chat to your other teammate....but only if it's absolutely necessary to have that conversation. If it's not, please wait until you're finished.
