Conclusion

Part 1) Executive function is a set of mental skills that include memory and self control. Self regulation is the ability to motivate and monitor oneself. Individuals must monitor their own learning in order to find success in their surroundings. Cues in an individual’s environment are helpful in retrieving memories. Memories are used to help with new ideas by using past experiences to solve help with new learning material.


Part 2) Teachers can use this information to integrate new material by using past lessons that student's can retreive to help them solve new problems. Teachers should also give students enough encouragement and space in order for them to monitor their work and motivate themselves to complete the assignment.
