Digital Dashboard is a platform where students can keep progress over there own progression. This is an open learning envornment where student will be able to view their scores and assess their performance to motivate them toward further development.

Teacher's AID

Using a digital dashboard is the best teacher's aid. It enables teachers to quickly see how students are progressing and where students may need help.

For instance:

  • Identifies which questions were problematic for a student on an assignment.

  • Show the extent of mastery a student has pertaining a content area skill

  • Shows percentages of lessons completed by a student

  • Shows how much time a student has devoted to the course

  • Shows how often a student get stuck and need help

  • Show how often a student uses digital help facilities

ASSISTments

An example of a digital dashboard effective digital dashboard is ASSISTments, it allows teachers to create materials for mathematics as well as other topics. Teacher use it to monitor student performance, and to interact with researchers on possible improvements. ASSISTment offers three views:

  1. The Builder view guides the teacher in creating lessons.

  2. The Teacher view shows performance of each student on particular lessons.

  3. The Student view guides the student in completing tasks and viewing feedback on performance.

In a randomized field trail seventh graders who used ASSISTments showed an increase scores on end-of-the-year math assessment tests, compared to students who didn't have the immediate feedback offered by ASSISTments. ASSISTments was particularly effect with lower-achieving students.
