Learning Across the Life Span

"Education is not preperation for life; education is life itself"

John Dewey

In this chapter introduction, the author discusses how every individual has a different route of learning in their lives. Yes, schools play a big role in what we learn and have control as to what we learn through curriculum and lesson plans. Yet it's our decisions in which formulate what we learn. Some students will go to a university, others will go straight into the work field. Decisions such as these will open different doors in what an individual will learn throughout their life span.
