Conclusion
The usefulness of digital technology in a classroom setting cannot be overstated. That being said, evidence must be collected to prove certain technologies' worth.
The research must indicate "the technology has a positive impact in situations that are similar with respect to:
the types of learning and goals for learning;
characteristics of the learners;
the learning environment;
features of the social and cultural context likely to affect learning; and
the level of support in using the technology to be provided to learners and educators." (Pg. 196 How People Learn II: Learners, Contexts, and Cultures)
Three more critical conclusions from Chapter 8 are:
Technology should line up with the projected goals of the class
Professional development should be implemented for instructors so they become literate in whatever technology they are going to use
All students and instructors alike have the ability to gain access and use the technology being presented
