The Difference Between: Sales By Product Quantity & The Inventory Control

If you notice a difference between the quantity of product sold in sales by product report and the consumption from the order quantity in the inventory control report, it may be due to the difference in timing of when consumption of the order is recorded. Consumption is recorded when the order is uploaded to the console, whereas the sale is recorded when the order is closed. This means that if there is a delay in uploading the orders, there may be a difference in the quantities recorded.
