What we are Learning This Week
Math: Mrs. Bennett
This week, we’ll be finishing our work on the rules of divisibility and completing our foldable resource that students can use as a study tool and reference throughout the year. To put their learning into action, students will become “Divisibility Detectives” as they solve mystery number puzzles! Using clues such as whether a number is prime or composite, a multiple of 3, or divisible by 6 but not by 4, students will use logic and reasoning to uncover the secret number. This activity helps strengthen their understanding of factors, multiples, and divisibility rules in a fun and challenging way! We will wrap up on unit with finding greatest common factors of two numbers. This skill will be especially helpful when we start our work with fractions later this school year.
We will be wrapping up this chapter by the end of the week. Students will have a chapter test next week. The earliest it will be is Tuesday 10/28. I will see where we are at by the end of the week!

Several schools collect food for low-income students who might not otherwise have food over the weekends. The program is called Blessings in a Backpack. There is a link below that you and your student(s) can sign up for. The volunteers simply walk around to each item putting it in a bag. One location is Alex R.
