This week students will finalize their focus on the essential question: "How can I design a unique and interesting balloon for our classroom’s Thanksgiving Day Parade?" Students are participating in a Balloons Over Broadway Project Based Learning Task in which they research the Thanksgiving Day Parade through reading different types of texts, create their own plan for a balloon and parade route, collaborate with others by giving and receiving feedback, and write an explanatory piece about their design plan.
We will also begin exploring point of view and perspective using our mentor text/class novel, Wonder.
