Find and evaluate an article that supports your argument. Students have picked a thesis statement (a one-sentence idea that they will argue for or against). Students have started to fill out a worksheet that lists reasons for why others should agree with the student's idea. Students are to take one of the reasons they have listed and find a website that proves their reason is true. Students must read the article on that website. They must do these two things:

  1. Paraphrase the first 100 words of the article. Students paraphrase must be at least 250 words. A paraphrase is a longer version of an original statement, a summary is a shorter version.
  2. Answer the fourteen questions found on the .pdf titled "Evaluate Info." Go here to find it.
  3. Save as "Article Eval 1" if doing this on a Google doc.
