Period 6: Do yesterday's assignment. Most students did not do yesterday's assignment either partially or completely. Most students had some part of their assignment incomplete. Some students had no part of their assignment complete. A few students had all parts of the assignment completed. The few students who did have all parts of their assignment completed must still do the assignment for today but will earn bonus points. Good job to the few who did what was expected of them.

• Use different paragraphs
• Put commas after subordinate clauses (each student made of list of words to check for)
• Replace the word "it" with another word, do this for the first five times the word "it" is used
• No two sentences in any one paragraph may begin with the same word
• Add a new paragraph to the end of the story; this paragraph is a "moral to the story." What is the moral of your story? What are we to learn from your story. Say the moral in a new paragraph. Add the new paragraph to the end of your story
• New--No sentence begins with the word "There"
• New--This version of essay must be written by hand.

Period 7: Turn in the version of your essay that you like best. If you want to make changes, make changes. If you are happy with how the essay is, make no changes.
