New short story. Please write a new short story using stock characters. This type of story is called comedy de arte (the art of comedy) and uses preexisting (stock) characters. Here are the characters you can chose from:

• Angry, stupid young man
• Overly romantic, stupid young man
• Pretty young woman
• Girl’s father, repressively protective
• Old woman who gossips
• Kind old man who makes everything worse

Your story should be about 900 words long.
