Sixth Week of School! This week we will be starting our next unit for Civics and Government - Principles of Government!
Weekly Theme - Students will be given their next new notebooks entitled Principles of Government for the next unit. They will begin to complete lessons for the unit as well covering content pertainingn to fundamentals of government, characteristics of a state and origins and evolution of government!
HOMEWORK: UNIT VOCABULARY DUE: TUESDAY (ODD) / WEDNESDAY (EVEN)!

SWBAT identify, describe, explain what life without government would be like by reading a source and answering questions and viewing a video and answering questions.
SWBAT learn key vocab. terms for the Principles of Government unit by completing a vocab. assignment.
METHOD:
Warm-Up/Question of the Day!
Reading/Questions - Day in Life Without Government - Students will read source and answer questions.
Video/Questions - How to Survivie a Purge - Students will view video and answer questions.
Unit Vocabulary - Principles of Government - Students will define vocab./key terms for the unit and compose inquiry skethces.

SWBAT identify, describe, explain key characteristics of a state by taking guided lecture notes.
SWBAT depict democracy/freedom rating from around the world by completing a map assignment and also Snapchat template page.
METHOD:
Warm-Up/Question of the Day!
Notes - Characteristics of a State - Students will take guided lecture notes on Characteristics of State.
Video - Types of Government - Students will view overview video of forms of government and discuss its content.
Map - Mapping Freedom Around the World - Students will use resource to depict democracy/freedom rating around the world in different countries.
Country Profile Assignment - Students will identify and portray different countries in Snapchat Templates on democracy rating along with other country profile information.
