SWBAT identify and evaluate key components, characteristics, rules and topics of the Civics and Government course by reading the syllabus.
SWBAT test their knowledge on key civics content by taking a quiz assessment.
SWBAT analyze and evaluate their own experiences and thoughts on personal interests, school, civics and government by taking a survey.
METHOD:

Course Syllabus - Presentation - Welcome to Civics and Government.
Course Quiz - Students take quiz assessment on civics fundamental knowledge.
Inquiry Survey - A Closer Look - Personal / Peer Survey ! - Students complete survey on themselves and interview a peer.

SWBAT analyze and evaluate key thoughts and stances on hypothetical citizenship scenarios by completing analytical questions.
METHOD:
Warm-Up/Question of the Day!
Reading/Questions - Citizen Me! - Students read source and answer questions.
Notes - Students will take notes on civics fundamentals.
Scenarios - Students read scenarios involving citizenship and then answer them.
