WEEK 27 - WORLD WAR I

Weekly Theme - This week, students will be continuing and finishing their new units on Progressive Era and American Imperialism! The chapters being studied are Chapter 19 and 20 - Progressive Politics and Movements and Foreign Policy and War in Progressive Era! Students will be finishing remaining unit notebook tasks and preparing for an upcoming unit test assessment!

Of course - Students will be continuing lesson assignments and notebook components accordingly. Key items of focus this week are Crash Course video/questions, Taking Sides source reading charts, also debate forum presentations, themes chart and Unit Jeopardy Review Game!

SWBAT identify, describe, explain key events, people and impacts of WWI era on the Homefront by viewing a video and answering questions.
SWBAT analyze impact of World War I era by reading a secondary source and completing a chart.
SWBAT locate, label, designate key places of importance of post World War I era by completing a map assignment.

METHOD:

Warm-Up / Q of the Day!
Video/Qs -America in WWI - Crash Course US History - Students will view video and answer questions.
Reading/Chart - Yes / No - Should the US Have Entered into WWI?
Map - WWI Europe in 1918 - Students will use map resource to complete map on Europe after WWI

Debate Forum Presentations - Was World War I - the Good War? - Students will present talking points for a debate forum and record talking points accordingly.
