Weekly Theme - This week students will be learning more about the develipment and growth of early America from days of early separate colonies to a united British-American identity. Of course - more sections of the new notebook for Chapter 3 and 4 will be finished accordingly.

OBJECTIVE:
SWBAT identify, describe, explain key people, events and impacts of early colonial America by viewing a video and answering questions and taking gudied lecture notes.
SWBAT locate, label, designate key places of importance in early American History by completing map exercises.
METHOD:
Warm-Up/Question of the Day! - Video on Magellan (from TEDed)
Video/Questions - Natives and English - Crash Course US History - Students will view video and answer questions.
Notes - British Colonies in North America - Students will take guided lecture notes on New England, Mid-Atlatnic and Southern Colonies.
Map Assignments - Students will complete map assignments by using resources.

SWBAT read and analyze key primary documents from the era of early colonial America nad analyze them with corresponding worksheets.
SWBAT evaluate key sides of interpretation in regards to Salem Witch Trials by reading a secondary source and completing a chart analysis.
METHOD:

Primary Documents - Students will read primary documents from the era being studied and complete analysis charts to evalaute each document.
