A Wedding Vow (3)

Another beautiful wedding vow by Richard Gascoyne, a friend of mine. He would like to offer this one with you all too.

Thank you Richard for yet another of your lovely wedding poems,

This Day Is Your Day

Hannah and Robbie

This day is yours forever.

Keep it safe, in a place that both of you know, for this is your new beginning.

Today as no other, we see you as never before.

We see the love you will share.  We see the lives you will lead.

We see the way you will live.

Robbie and Hannah

This day was made with love.

Love holding you both, as never before, in the light of this your new beginning.

Today as no other, we stand proud in these truths:

that you are both loved and cherished;  that you are both wanted and needed;

that you are both invited and welcomed.

Hannah and Robbie

This day brings us all together.

Family and friends, to stand as witness, to share your new beginning.

Today as no other, we see you anew;

as Daughter or Son, Brother or Sister;  as founding members of this your new family;

as valued friends whose trust is our strength.

Robbie and Hannah

This day will be remembered

in our very hearts and minds, as we recall your new beginning.

Today as no other we promise you this:

that we give you unconditional love;  that we give you our constant support;

that we give you ourselves.

Hannah and Robbie

This day is your day and we give you thanks for the keeping of it.

This day is your day and we give you thanks for the sharing of it.

This day is your day and we give you thanks for the celebration of it.

To You Both, This Day Is Your Day
