Parable of the Two Sons
Parable of the Two Sons: Matthew 21. 28-32
(based on the old Scottish playground rhyme, ‘Did you ever see a lassie?’
A man had two sons and this is what he said to the first,
“Will you come and do a job for me,
Work with me? Help me?
Will you come and do a task,
In our vineyard today?”
But the first son had this to say:-
“O Father, I cannot, I should not, I will not!”
But then he thought about it, and went anyway.
Then the father said the same to the second son,
Will you come and do a job for me,
Work with me? Help me?
Will you come and do a task for me,
Some time today?
And the second son replied:-
“O Father, I can do, I should do, I will do!”
So his father waited for him, but he never came.
