Wounded healer:  From the album, ‘From this moment on’

“I wrote this once for a very special person, who had suffered enormous physical pain in her life, and shattered dreams.

At that time I felt that the there was only one who could truly understand what she was going through,

for he had been there already, on his cross, like she was on hers ‘’ Sheila

D                                                      C                 D

For you are a wounded child, in the arms of the master,

                                                                C   G                D

Wounded by the snares of life, on the pathway of the innocent.

                   C                                    D

But see his blood mingling with your own . . .

                  C  G                             D         C G D

Know the heart of the Wounded Healer.

Rest there safely in the arms, of the Lord, the all-knowing.

From the depths he’s heard your cry, and He knows that you love Him.

                      C                                     D

Just see his blood mingling with your own,

               C                                          D

Flowing down from thorns about His head. . .

                  C  G                             D              C G D

Know the heart of the Wounded Healer.

He is holding healing streams in a vessel of water,

Waiting patiently for you to be bathed with forgiveness.

                      C                                     D

Just see his blood mingling with your own,

               C                                              D

Flowing down from the thorns about His head,

               C                                             D

Flowing out from the nail prints in His hands . .

                  C  G                             D

Know the heart of the Wounded Healer.

                  C  G                             D

Know the heart of the Wounded Healer (repeat and fade)
