Jarely Méndez attends drilling workshop in Woods Hole
Grad student Jarely Méndez attended the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) “Autonomous Vehicles during Drilling” workshop held at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution last week. Jarely shared her research projects and participated in conversations on future drilling projects; she also had the opportunity to learn about WHOI facilities and ocean technology research.

In December, a group of department faculty and students met with one of our generous department donors, Dr. Pat Tracy, for lunch at The Maroon Door. The students all received summer research support from Dr. Tracy, whose gift to the department honors her late husband, longtime VT-Geosciences professor Bob Tracy.
