Professor Scott King was inducted as an AGU Fellow at the Honors Ceremony at the AGU annual meeting in San Francisco in December.

Jess DePaolis defended her PhD thesis, "Diatom-based reconstructions of earthquake-induced paleoenvironmental change in coastal Alaska and Washington, USA," advised by Dr. Tina Dura.
Kayla McCabe defended her M.S. thesis, "Marine Deoxygenation Predates the End-Triassic Mass Extinction Within the Equatorial Panthalassa and its Influence on Marine Ecosystems Before the Biotic Crisis" advised by Dr. Ben Gill.
