Hispanic Heritage Month marigold workshop

Assistant Professor Julia Cisneros began hosting a series of get-togethers in the Bedform Dynamics Lab to craft paper marigolds in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Julia says, "marigolds hold a special significance in Mexican culture as the flower of Día de los Muertos. These vibrant blooms are used to adorn altars, or ofrendas, dedicated to our departed loved ones. I have fond memories of crafting paper marigolds during my school days, a cherished tradition leading up to Día de los Muertos, when we would embellish our classrooms in celebration."

The final GeoFair!

The Museum of Geosciences, led by museum manager Mariah Green, hosted the final fall GeoFair. This year's fair sold the last of the many specimens donated by alumnus Don Dalton.
