GeoFair 2022

The Department of Geosciences GeoFair returned this past weekend after a two-year hiatus. Thanks to all the folks who attended and volunteered! See the photo carousel at left for some pictures provided by Mariah Green.

Ethan Conley at OCEANS22

Ethan Conley and Ryan Pollyea spent the weekend at the IEEE OCEANS22 Conference in Hampton Roads to talk about their research exploring the potential for induced earthquakes from managed aquifer recharge. Ethan was awarded full conference travel expenses for submitting one of the top student conference papers. Ethan and Ryan will both have papers from this research coming out in IEEE Xplore in the coming weeks.

Grad Student Coffee Hour

The Friday grad student coffee hour provides weekly free lattes and -- more importantly -- conversation for Geosciences grad students. In fact, it's so successful that we're going to add a second weekly time slot - stay tuned!

AECOM Presentation

Dr. Junaid Sadeque from AECOM -- a large environmental consulting firm -- gave a presentation on careers in the environmental industry. Thanks to Brian Romans for setting this up.
