Happy Holidays Friends!

Where did the year go? It's DECEMBER! Time for some holidays, time to sit back, reflect, and count our blessings!

Time to thank everyone in our little community. Time to thank everyone that was able to support us. Time to thank our teachers and school staff for continuing to support our children. Last, but not least, time for me to thank the AMAZING group of volunteers in the PAC this year! THANK YOU TEAM FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO!

Please stay safe during the holidays, and enjoy the well-earned break. Spend time with your families and cherish every moment!

On behalf of the PAC, we'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

At the last PAC meeting, Ms. Parades relayed that the school board is willing to install a web climber, provided the PAC can commit $45k towards the project. This is just a friendly reminder that we will be voting on this proposed expense at the next PAC meeting on December 16 at 7:00pm, via Zoom. We encourage everyone to join the conversation.

Hot lunch is open for ordering for next term. We have 3 dates available.

January: White Spot hot dogs (option of veggie dog and gluten wise bun) and Chopped Leaf salads

February: White Spot

March: Wok Box

The Purdys fundraiser is now closed. Thank you for ordering and supporting Sunnyside! We raised $1163! Stay tuned for more info about the pickup date. We will be using the same portable to distribute Purdys as the spirit wear pickup; the portable closest to the middle parking lot and playground.

Looking for freshly baked breads and desserts for the holidays? COBS Bread bakes fresh, delicious breads daily. Mention Sunnyside, and we will receive 5% of the sale price. Help us raise funds for some wonderful things for our school. Applicable to 2 nearby South Surrey locations:

The Sunnyside PAC has an Express account at the Return-It Depot. Our account/phone # is 888-888-8888. Simply bag all your recyclables and drop them off. The depot does the counting and sorting and deposits the funds in our school account.

The PAC has large, clear bags and labels available for pickup. Contact us at recycling@sunnysidepac.ca.

With so much construction around the school, please be mindful of pick up & drop off locations. The Kiss and Go, located in the upper parking lot by the front entrance, is an area to safely drop your child off before school. Your child must be able to unbuckle and exit the car independently, from the passenger's side, and head to class. Keep in mind that this is not an area to park and wait.

We live in a busy neighbourhood, but we can make a difference. We are asking for parents to help out from 8:15 to 8:30am. All you need to do is wear a safety vest, and walk on the sidewalks beside the school, as a visual deterrent. We will provide the safety vest. Please contact info@sunnysidepac.ca, to volunteer.
