Message from the pac chair
Wow! I was blown away by the phenomenal feedback from so many of you about the Fun Fair! We are beyond grateful for the volunteers, fundraisers, school teachers and administrators, and the community, for your support and participation. I also want to say THANK YOU to the team that worked so hard to ensure our children and our families had a great experience.
Please take a moment to read through and see what is on the horizon as we near the end of the school year. This includes our last PAC meeting and AGM, where the new PAC executives will be voted in. My hope is next year's team will do even bigger and better things, and I encourage you all to get involved. Here is the link to the Call for PAC Nominations Notice.
I have had the privilege of being PAC chair the last two years. I am proud of this school and all those who work hard to ensure my son, and all our children, are the priority. Please take the time to thank the teachers, administrators, and all those who work with our kids every day. They understand the notion of "If not me, then who?".

THANK YOU! We hope everyone had a fantastic time at the Fun Fair! The PAC executives would like to extend a huge thank you to all the volunteers. We could not have done it without the enthusiastic help of our students, parents, grandparents, teachers and administrators!
Thank you for participating in the Fun Fair raffle. The 3 winning tickets were drawn and announced at the Fun Fair. The winners who were not in attendance will be notified by phone.
We sold a record number of tickets this year. Division 6 sold the most tickets, earning a Pizza Party! The top 3 selling students were Jacob S, Matt S, and Savanna S, and they will each receive a family package of movie tickets for 4. Well done, kids!
Monday, June 3 is Menchie's Monday for Sunnysiders! Enjoy a delicious frozen yogurt while raising money. Say "Sunnyside" when completing your purchase, and 20% will come back to our school! This is an all-day event at their Morgan Crossing location, and their hours of operation are from 11:30 am to 10 pm.
Every year in June, we hold an AGM (annual general meeting), where we nominate and vote for next year's PAC executives. All parents of students registered at Sunnyside for the 2019/20 school year are welcome to join. To learn more about the roles and responsibilities of members of the PAC executive consult the Call for Nominations Notice, or contact us at info@sunnysidepac.ca.
This year's AGM will be on Tuesday, June 11 at 6pm, in the school library.
The staff appreciation potluck lunch is on Wednesday June 12. Let's show our teachers, administrators, and support staff how much we appreciate everything they do for our children daily.
Kindly sign up online to contribute to a wonderful luncheon, by setting up, bringing food, or cleaning up.
Place all hot lunch orders online via Munch a Lunch. Orders can be placed up to 10 days prior to delivery.
Volunteer during your lunch hour and surprise your child at school! Here is the Hot Lunch sign-up sheet for: June 7, June 14, and June 17.
Our goal is to keep our children safe, while ensuring that traffic flows smoothly, but we need volunteers to keep the program running.
Consider signing up to volunteer for 20 minutes during drop off to help our students navigate the busy crosswalks.
The PAC has an Express account at the Return-It Depot. Simply put all your refundable containers in a clear, plastic bag and drop it off at any Express Return-It. Our account/phone # is 888-888-8888. All funds will benefit Sunnyside Elementary.
A big thank you to Woo Korean BBQ in South Surrey for donating all their refundable bottles to Sunnyside, through the Express Return It Depot.
